The main competition<\/strong> that takes place in the public square of the hosting city is\u00a0the Weekly Competition<\/strong>, where the filmmakers that shoot films in each location of the travelling campus are the key players.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Here some details on how to take part in the competition:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n All the filmmakers that participate to\u00a0CinemadaMare<\/strong>\u00a0take part in the Weekly Competition as each week they will have to realise films together with their collegues coming from all over the world, forming international crews and involving the local filmmakers in films\u2019 shooting and production, letting them cover various roles: extras, actors, assistants director etc. At the very beginning of each week, the staff arranges the Production meeting<\/strong>\u00a0and comunicates the guidelines, that the troupes will have to follow to produce movies, and the day of the final screening.<\/p>\n Films admitted to the\u00a0Weekly Competition<\/strong>\u00a0must have been realized by CinemadaMare\u2019s registered filmmakers, must have been shot in the ongoing stop-over, must last at least 12 minutes (intro and interview excluded-they will be consigned by the staff) and be delivered according to the deadlines specified in the regulation, usually the day of the Weekly, within 6pm.<\/em><\/p>\n Weekly Competition\u00a0screenings<\/strong>\u00a0are\u00a0free<\/strong>, as all CinemadaMare\u2019s activities, and they are presented by the Director and the staff, together with short movies\u2019 directors and cast (artistic and technical).<\/p>\n Hundreds of people<\/strong>, among\u00a0locals<\/strong>, filmmakers and cinema experts, participate to the screenings enthusiastically, admiring the works of young authors able to\u00a0promote film tourism<\/strong>: indeed, those living in the cities that host\u00a0CinemadaMare<\/strong>\u00a0are able to recognise the most famous glimpses of their cities, that are enhanced in the various short movies.\u00a0These films are at the municipal authority\u2019s disposal<\/strong>\u00a0in order to be used as\u00a0advertising spots<\/strong>\u00a0or any other\u00a0promotional<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0touristic purpose<\/strong>.<\/p>\n In the same way, filmmakers that have realized these films at\u00a0CinemadaMare<\/strong>, submit them to different festivals all over the world and that gives them the chance to\u00a0spread their short movies internationally<\/strong>. In this way, people around the world start to know some Italian landscapes, often unknown to foreigns.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n It\u2019s necessary to fill the submission form to take part in the travelling campus and to shoot the films during the tour in Italy<\/strong>. The film concurring in the Weekly Competition<\/strong> must have the following characteristics<\/strong>:<\/p>\n At the beginning of the week, the staff set a production meeting where the guidelines of the crews need to be respected for the production of the films.<\/p>\n The filmmakers themselves are the people who will assign the award for Best Film, through the voting forms, distributed by the staff.
