INVITATION TO FILMMAKERS AND UNIVERSITIES FROM ALL OVER THE WORLD 

CinemadaMare is a festival unique in the world.

It hosts young filmmakers coming from all over the world and gives them the chance to:

• make short films using and experimenting new digital technologies;
• attend workshops, in order to deepen their film knowledge;
• get in touch with many professionals and great experts of cinema.
  

Filmmakers travel for free across Italy on the bus sponsored by CinemadaMare (arriving at Venice Film Festival)  and transform every day of the tour in a big “outdoor film set”.

Each filmmaker should bring his own technical equipment (camcorder, camera, microphone, etcetera…) and a laptop with an editing program.

CinemadaMare gives FREE ACCOMODATION to all filmmakers. 

The guys of CinemadaMare attend all festival’s activities for free and stay in schools used as hostels. They also receive a monetary contribution for their travel expenses (the monetary contribution depends on the duration of the stay and on the country of origin).

Hospitality and travel offer

CinemadaMare Film Festival offers all participants:

Free hospitality: Filmmakers stay in schools. Classrooms are used as bedrooms (about ten beds in each room). Each filmmaker receive a bed and a pillow. Participant should bring their own sheet or sleeping bag. Board is not included.

Free travel between the different stops of CinemadaMare: all the stops of CinemadaMare’s are reached with CinemadaMare’s bus and are chargeable to CinemadaMare.

Contribution to travel expenses: Filmmakers receive a contribution to their travel expenses according to their nationality (Italian, European, non European). Payments are made through a local bank. Contribution to travel expenses depends on the country of provenance and the length of the stay at the festival, according to the following chart:

*Participants who come from countries which are more than 4,000 km far from Rome as the crow flies, are eligible for a monetary contribution of €* 225 and €* 150.

*Those who won't take part at the entire period of the festival (25th of June - 7th of September) aren't considered as "Golden Guys", and therefore they won't receive the entire monetary contribution calculated for the "Golden Guys".

Please note that:

• The wording UE & Med/ EU & Med stands for all European countries, Members States of the European Union and Mediterranean Basin countries.
• The amounts  in the chart are in Euro
• The amount that will be refunded to our young filmmaker guest will not exceed 50% of the total amount spent by him/her.
• In order to receive the monetary contribution listed in the chart, it is compulsory to arrive on the very first day of each new stop (for example, if the stay in a city begins on the 20^th of July, our guests must arrive on the 20^th of July, not before or later; and so on for all the other stops, according to our calendar available on the website www.cinemadamare.com). Those who won’t comply to this rules will lose the right to travel for free from the stop where they arrived to the next one.
